Practical demonstration of the potential to accelerate your development cycles of converter based applications
According to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection's (BMWK) roadmap for system stability in Germany, grid-forming converters should make a significant contribution to system stability by 2030. Until then, a large number of open research tasks has to be investigated with regard to the future system behavior at the level of grid operation down to the level of the control design of the individual converter systems.
Using the example of the existing challenges in the control design of grid-forming power converters, you will learn in the workshop how rapid control prototyping systems (RCP), together with power hardware-in-the-loop systems (P-HiL), not only enable an easy entry into the laboratory validation of power converter-based applications. In addition, RCP and P-HiL systems provide an efficient and powerful tool to accelerate your existing development processes of power converter-based applications, from the initial concept to the laboratory validation, which will be demonstrated in the workshop using laboratory experiments. After the official part of the workshop, we offer to support your project idea or your specific problem with your

After the official part of the workshop, we offer to support your project idea or your specific problem with your RCP or P-HiL application through individual discussions or support you to enter this emerging field.
The workshop is aimed at research and development experts that improve control algorithms in simulations and in the laboratory, experts from TSO/DSO’s (transmission/distribution system operator) as well as manufacturing companies.
